1st of many - the first 5 days compiled

hello readers

this is my fifth day abroad and i'm a little homesick.. :-( Im going to just quickly recap my experience in London so far and move on from there. First let me introduce myself, i am a 19 yr ld sophomore in Salzburg, Austria - best known for its hometown "hero" Wolfgang Mozart. They also have the family in the sound of music who were realli from here o thank for their increased status for the movie - sound of music - was filmed here. Now i flew out to London and we spent the weekend in London. It was great.. felt a lot like the US to me- which is prob why i wasnt home sick lol - and all but it was all still good. we went to so many different places and visited so many sites its was realli cool. we stayed at a prettty nice hotel and the staff there was amazing.. they r what every hotel staff should be like. but we also traveled independently and i went to Kew Gardens - 4 all the NY 'rs THE ny kg is almost an EXACT replica lol.. some differences but house styles and stuff r the same. they have a great winery and a great bakery plae with the richest chocolate cupcakes you will ever have in your life!!! overall London was a great trip. The flight to salzburg we took from london to munich and whn i tell u ive never slept in a plane but was knocked out on this fluight - it was a great flight. we landed in munich and took the bus from Munich to Salzburg... it was a 2 hr drive about and had some cool sites. we got to salzburg at night and this is a beautiful time ..esp at night.. their is a fortress here adn its to die for the sightsl... so beautifl. yesterday was an ok day, but thats when i got my first taste of homesickness.. it stoopped pretty early and everything was ok. it was only bad todday. but yesterday i ran some errands with a group member, who also just happens to be homesick. she is a sweetheart tho. realli cool. now my roomie i duno how i feel yet'. i think we have some things to work out but i have to chat with her and c where her hea is at beecause we havent reai done so... so that should be interesting. As of right now nothing to too unbearable but imma just do what it do lol. now today i just totally broke down when wwe went on the library tour and have been inside my room all day.. i tlked to mommy and daddy but i feel a lil better now. im kind of dissappointed in myself for not being a stronger person, but at the same time im proud that i havent done anything REALLI stupid yet. the decisions and actions i take while im here will influence me for the rest of my life and i realli just want to make the best of this... ill finish this later im going to be outgoing and met up with some students at omalleys... shoudl be fun :-) - 854

i had soo much fun with the group tonight... I had some wine it was good. The kids are funny too. but im going to talk to my ppls n go to sleep - night
